This research is the first of its kind to map and evaluate Innovation and Inclusive Development programmes in Indonesia. It aims to assess the effectiveness of development programmes in regards to the inclusivity of its beneficiaries across Indonesia. We look at programmes that are undertaken by the government, the business and the academics and see the differences in their approach. We highlight on 3 case studies: microhydro power in Ciptagelar, West Java, cassava cultivation in Bantaeng, South Sulawesi, and waste management programme in Probolinggo, East Java. This research concludes the drivers and barriers of each sector in applying development initiatives in Indonesia.
