Strengthening the governance of STI: Engagement in development of draft law on national system of science and technology (RUU Sisnas Iptek)

The discussion of Sisnas Iptek Law that currently happening in the parliament should become a momentum and opportunity to rethink and redevelop the trajectory and landscape of the National System of Science and Technology.

To reach the objectives, this project is divided into two big blocks of activities with each of them directed to strengthen the existing policies and to analyse what policy instruments needed to strengthen the governance of science, technology, and innovation environment in Indonesia.

The first block directed to the strengthening of policy through advocating the writing of the National System for Science and Technology Law. The advocacy process will be done through series of discussion and/or audience with the Law’s Task Force in the Parliament. The second block directed to the policy instruments that focuses on the development of database for research funding.
